DJI Power Expansion Battery 2000: Unboxed and Installed

    By 2026-09-032026-09-11

It arrived on a Monday, exactly a week after the Irish website came to the rescue and a friend’s address just over the border became an unlikely fulfilment centre. Kathy was already near the border in Derry doing errands in the car, so she collected it. By the time she got back, I was parked…

Reactive Outdoor 3 Second Tent: Van Life Verdict

    ByDarron Mark 2026-09-022026-09-11

The Reactive Outdoor 3 Secs Tent nearly had its first outing at midnight. Friends stayed too long, started weighing up whether to just stop over, and I was three sheets to the wind, putting the bed up wasn’t happening. They went home. The tent stayed in its bag. But it was close enough that the…

Kilos Gear GrandPeak Review: Is This the Best High Back Camping Chair for Van Life?

    ByDarron Mark 2026-09-022026-09-11

I’ve been testing the Kilos Gear GrandPeak high back camping chair on a beach in Northern Ireland, and if you’re a van lifer or motorhomer who’s been through the same revolving door of camp chairs that I have, this review is for you. Short version: it’s the first one I’ve sat in that I didn’t…

Teslovix Starlink Mini Accessories: Which One Do You Need?

    ByDarron Mark 2026-08-082026-09-11

Teslovix got in touch and sent us three Starlink Mini accessories to review. My own Starlink is permanently bolted to an aerial pole on the roof, so I borrowed my son’s Mini and put all three through their paces in the van. He doesn’t make YouTube videos. He watches them, which is close enough. The…

Win a Teslovix Starlink Mini Suction Mount

    ByDarron Mark 2026-08-042026-09-11

Right then. We’ve got a Teslovix TSB-01 top suction bracket for the Starlink Mini to give away, and someone reading this is going to get it for free. It’s the mount that sticks to your skylight vent and holds a Starlink Mini in place while you’re parked up somewhere with no signal and too much…

Carbon Monoxide Detector for Motorhomes: Why I Now Run Two (And Why You Probably Should Too)

    ByDarron Mark 2026-07-252026-09-11

The standard CO alarm in a motorhome does its job. Until it can’t. Here’s what I added to the motorhome and why. If you’ve got a motorhome or campervan, you almost certainly have a carbon monoxide detector on the wall. If you’ve got the FireAngel, you’re in good company. It’s the one most of us…

Outdoor Reactive 10-Man Inflatable Tent Review: The Best Bit of Extra Kit a Motorhomer Can Own

    ByDarron Mark 2026-06-152026-09-11

Six minutes! That’s how long it took to have a ten-man tent standing in a light breeze in Roe Valley Country Park. No poles. No arguing. No one storming off back to the van. If you’ve been motorhoming for any length of time, you already know the drill when visitors turn up. You squeeze everyone…

    ByDarron Mark 2026-05-312026-09-11

Starlink on a motorhome. Two professionals, two full-time jobs, one field in County Antrim. Here’s why that chopping board on the roof is the most important piece of kit we own.

Tabletop Bio-ethanol Fire Pit Review | Cheap Motorhome Heat Tested

    ByDarron Mark 2026-01-312026-09-11

Winter motorhome life makes you consider questionable purchases. This time it was a tabletop bioethanol fire pit. I tested it properly inside the motorhome to see if it gives off real heat, how much it costs to run, and whether it’s actually worth the space or just another cosy-looking mistake.
